Acroview Expands Support for ABOV’s 32-bit High-Performance Microcontroller A33G538MM

Acroview, a leader in chip programming solutions, has officially announced the expansion of its compatible device portfolio with the release of its latest programming software. The company’s core product—the universal programming platform AP8000—has now achieved full adaptation for the A33G538MM, a 32-bit high-performance microcontroller from ABOV Semiconductor.

The A33G538MM is a 32-bit high-performance microcontroller equipped with up to 768KB of flash memory. It delivers robust performance and provides an efficient solution for a wide range of electrical appliances that require rich peripherals and large-capacity flash memory.

Built on the high-performance Arm® Cortex®-M3 core, the A33G538MM operates at up to 75MHz and features up to 768KB of code flash, 32KB of data flash, and 24KB of SRAM. It is widely used in home appliances including refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, water purifiers, blenders, and more.

Acroview’s self-developed AP8000 universal programmer has become a benchmark professional programming solution in the industry. The device supports flexible configurable modes from one-to-one to one-to-eight, and offers both online and offline operation. It also provides dedicated programming solutions for memory chips such as eMMC and UFS, fully covering the bare-chip offline programming and on-board programming needs of ABOV’s entire microcontroller series. The AP8000 adopts an innovative modular design comprising three core modules—main unit, baseboard, and adapter socket—giving the device excellent compatibility and expandability. As a universal programming platform, it not only adapts to various programmable chips on the market but also serves as a core component of Acroview’s automated batch programming system IPS5800S, delivering stable and efficient performance for high-volume chip programming tasks to meet mass production requirements.

The AP8000 main unit offers flexible connectivity with both USB and NET interfaces, enabling convenient networking of multiple programmers. Through networking, users can easily achieve synchronized control of multiple programmers and efficiently carry out parallel programming operations. In terms of security, the main unit incorporates intelligent safety protection circuits that monitor chip placement and circuit connections in real time. In case of abnormal conditions such as reverse insertion or short circuits, it immediately triggers a power-off protection mechanism, safeguarding both the chip and the programmer. The main unit is equipped with a high-speed FPGA chip that significantly enhances data transmission and processing efficiency, ensuring smooth and efficient programming. For added convenience, an SD card slot is provided on the back of the main unit. Users can store project files generated on a PC to an SD card, insert it into the slot, and then select, load, and execute programming operations via physical buttons on the programmer, enabling standalone operation without a PC. This design not only reduces dependency on computer hardware but also simplifies workspace setup and greatly improves operational flexibility.

In terms of expandability and compatibility, the AP8000 employs a modular combination of baseboard and adapter boards, effectively extending the main unit’s capabilities. Currently, the device supports products from all major semiconductor manufacturers, covering brands such as SK hynix, Micron, SANDISK, ASR, Kingston, and more. Its supported device types are extensive, including NAND, NOR, MCU, CPLD, FPGA, eMMC, and others, and it is fully compatible with industry-standard file formats such as Intel Hex, Motorola S, Binary, and POF, providing users with a one-stop, full-scenario chip programming solution.
