Acroview Programmer Supports MPS Buck-Boost Converter MPQ4236GLE

author::Microelectronicsrelease date:2026-11-04Viewers:21

As a leader in chip programming, Acroview has officially announced the further expansion of its compatible chip model coverage alongside the release of a new version of its programming software. The company's core product, the universal programming platform AP8000, is now fully compatible with the MPS buck-boost converter MPQ4236GLE.

The MPQ4236GLE is a buck-boost converter with four integrated power MOSFETs. Within a specific input power range, this device can deliver up to 60W of output power while maintaining excellent efficiency.

The MPQ4236GLE is suitable for battery pre-regulators, USB Power Delivery (PD), and wireless charging applications. It can interface with external PD or wireless charging controllers via an I2C interface. The I2C interface and One-Time Programmable (OTP) memory enable flexible parameter configuration. In Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM), the adjustable switching frequency (FSW) can reach up to 2MHz, significantly reducing the size of external inductors and capacitors. The device's fault protection features include Constant Current (CC) limiting, output and input Over-Voltage Protection (OVP), and Thermal Shutdown (TSD) protection.

The MPQ4236GLE requires only a minimal number of existing standard external components. It is available in a small QFN-18 (3x4mm) package with side-wettable flanks and is AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualified.

The AP8000 universal programmer, independently developed by Acroview, has become a benchmark professional programming solution in the industry. The device supports flexible and adjustable 1-to-1 and 1-to-8 configuration modes, and provides both online and offline working modes. It has especially developed dedicated programming solutions for memory chips such as eMMC and UFS, comprehensively covering the offline bare-die programming and in-system programming requirements for the entire MPS chip series. The AP8000 adopts an innovative modular design with three core modules: the main unit, the bottom board, and the socket adapter, endowing the device with excellent compatibility and scalability. As a universal programming platform, it can not only adapt to various programmable chips on the market but also, with its stable and efficient performance, serves as the core component of Acroview's automated batch programming equipment IPSS800S, efficiently handling large-scale chip programming tasks and meeting mass production needs.

The AP8000 main unit features flexible connection methods, equipped with both USB and NET interfaces to enable convenient networking of multiple programmers. Through the networking function, users can easily achieve synchronous control of multiple programmers and efficiently carry out parallel programming operations. In terms of security, the main unit has a built-in intelligent safety protection circuit that can monitor the chip placement status and circuit connection in real time. Once abnormalities such as chip reverse insertion or short circuits are detected, it will immediately trigger a power-off protection mechanism, comprehensively safeguarding the safe operation of both the chips and the programmer. The main unit is equipped with a high-speed FPGA chip inside, greatly improving data transmission and processing efficiency to ensure a smooth and efficient programming process. To enhance ease of use, the back of the main unit is equipped with an SD card slot. Users only need to save the project files generated on the PC to an SD card, insert it into the slot, and then use the physical buttons on the programmer to complete file selection, loading, and programming operations, achieving independent operation without a PC. This design not only reduces the dependence on computer hardware configurations but also simplifies the workflow setup process, significantly enhancing operational flexibility.

In terms of scalability and compatibility, the AP8000 adopts a modular combination design of the bottom board and adapter board, effectively expanding the functional boundaries of the main unit. Currently, the device supports products from all mainstream semiconductor manufacturers, including well-known brands such as SK hynix, Micron, SANDISK, ASR, and Kingston. It supports a wide range of device types, covering NAND, NOR, MCU, CPLD, FPGA, EMMC, etc., and is fully compatible with various industry-standard file formats such as Intel Hex, Motorola S, Binary, and POF, providing users with a one-stop, full-scenario chip programming solution.
