ACROVIEW, a leader in chip programming, has officially announced the further expansion of its compatible chip model coverage with the release of its latest programming software. The company’s core product—the universal programming platform AP8000—has now achieved full adaptation with MPS’s fully digital current-mode LLC controller HR1008GS.
The HR1008GS is a fully digital current-mode LLC controller that delivers excellent stability and fast transient response simultaneously. The zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) feature of this LLC converter significantly improves efficiency, while the adaptive dead-time characteristic of the high-side and low-side gate drivers consistently ensures high efficiency and effectively avoids capacitive operating states.
The HR1008GS supports three operating modes depending on load conditions, including continuous mode, skip mode, and burst mode, to optimize efficiency under different load conditions. The device integrates a high-voltage (HV) current source for startup, eliminating the need for traditional startup resistors or external circuits. When the AC input voltage drops, this HV current source can also serve as an X-capacitor discharger, thus saving the resistors used for X-capacitor discharge.
The HR1008GS incorporates multiple protection features to ensure safe system operation under any fault conditions. These protections include: over-current protection (OCP), capacitive-mode protection (CMP), over-power protection (OPP), over-voltage protection (OVP), external over-temperature protection (OTP), thermal shutdown (TSD), and brown-in/brownout over-voltage/under-voltage protection (BI/BO).
The HR1008GS is available in an SOIC-16 package.

The AP8000 universal programmer independently developed by ACROVIEW has become a benchmark professional programming solution in the industry. The device supports flexible and configurable 1-to-1 and 1-to-8 programming modes, and offers both online and offline operation modes. It has developed dedicated programming solutions for memory chips such as eMMC and UFS, and can fully cover the off-line bare-chip programming and on-board programming needs for MPS’s entire family of chips. The AP8000 adopts an innovative modular design comprising three core modules—main unit, baseboard, and adapter socket—endowing the device with outstanding compatibility and expandability. As a universal programming platform, it not only adapts to various programmable chips on the market but also, with its stable and high-performance capabilities, serves as the core component of ACROVIEW’s automated batch programming system IPS5800S, efficiently handling large-scale chip programming tasks to meet mass production requirements.

The AP8000 main unit offers flexible connectivity, equipped with both USB and NET interfaces, enabling convenient networking of multiple programmers. Through the networking function, users can easily achieve synchronized control of multiple programmers and efficiently carry out parallel programming operations. In terms of safety, the main unit incorporates an intelligent safety protection circuit that monitors chip placement status and circuit connections in real time. Once abnormalities such as chip reverse insertion or short circuits are detected, it immediately triggers a power-off protection mechanism, providing comprehensive protection for the safe operation of both chips and the programmer. The main unit houses a high-speed FPGA chip, significantly improving data transmission and processing efficiency to ensure a smooth and efficient programming process. To enhance user convenience, an SD card slot is provided on the rear side of the main unit. Users only need to save the project file generated on a PC to an SD card and insert it into the slot, then they can complete file selection, loading, and programming operations through the programmer’s physical buttons, enabling standalone operation without a PC. This design not only reduces dependence on computer hardware configuration but also simplifies the working environment setup, significantly improving operational flexibility.
In terms of expandability and compatibility, the AP8000 adopts a modular combination of baseboard and adapter board, effectively extending the main unit’s functional boundaries. Currently, the device supports products from all major semiconductor manufacturers, covering well-known brands such as SK hynix, Micron, SANDISK, ASR, and Kingston. Its supported device types are extensive, including NAND, NOR, MCU, CPLD, FPGA, eMMC, and more, and it is fully compatible with various industry-standard file formats such as Intel Hex, Motorola S, Binary, and POF, providing users with a one-stop, full-scenario chip programming solution.
